Traffic stop leads to arrest of gang members in Port St. Lucie
I’M STEVEN GRAVES WITH YOUR NEWS TO GO. THE OLDEST COLD CASE MURDER IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY IS NOW SOLVED. ARMY VETERAN ROSS GRAHAM WAS KILLED 56 YEARS AGO. INVESTIGATORS SAY THOMAS WILLIAMS, WHO DIED EIGHT YEARS AGO, WAS ONE OF THE KILLERS. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SPOKE WITH A RELATIVE OF WILLIAMS AND HIS EX-WIFE. THEY REVEALED THAT YEARS AGO, HE PRIVATELY ADMITTED TO THE CRIME. INVESTIGATORS HOPE SOMEONE WILL COME FORWARD TO IDENTIFY THE OTHER PERSON WHO WAS INVOLVED IN THIS MURDER. BOYNTON BEACH POLICE HAVE ARRESTED THIS MAN, MURDAUGH LOPEZ, FOR HIDING SPY CAMERAS IN BATHROOMS AT PUBLIC GYMS. THE CAMERAS HAVE BEEN REPORTEDLY THERE SINCE JULY OF LAST YEAR. THE YOUFIT GYM ON CONGRESS AVENUE IN BOYNTON BEACH WAS THE FIRST PLACE ONE OF THE CAMERAS WAS DISCOVERED. The Port St. Lucie Police Department announced Friday that it arrested two people connected to a gang. The police department said Rashad Muhammad, 35, and Cecil Rodriguez, 20, were heading to a rap concert at a lounge in St. Lucie West Thursday night.The two were stopped during a traffic stop, and law enforcement discovered an AK-47 pistol, a 9mm Uzi with a removed serial number and makeshift suppressor, a Glock 17, cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia.The Port St. Lucie Police Department said Muhammad, from Fort Pierce, and Rodriguez, from Crestview, are in the St. Lucie County Jail facing several firearms and narcotics charges.Top headlines:Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WPBF 25 Get the latest news updates with the WPBF 25 News app. You can download it here.
