A man found fatally shot after a car crash in Oak Park last week was identified Tuesday as a 25-year-old Poway resident, San Diego police said.

The incident was reported about 11 p.m. Thursday after a vehicle drove into a fence at 60th and Michael streets, police Lt. Steve Shebloski said. When officers and paramedics arrived, Andres Dominguez was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died less than an hour later.

Shebloski said the initial investigation indicates the driver had been shot during an argument with two other men. He drove a short distance before crashing.
