Man, 74, arrested on sex crimes against child in Town of Maine
MAINE (WBNG) -- A Town of Maine man was charged for sexually abusing a minor, the Broome County Sheriff’s office announced Friday.
The sheriff’s office said it charged Mark E. Turner, 74, of the Town of Maine with four counts of sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D felony.
The office said around 11 a.m. on April 11, deputies responded to a report of inappropriate behavior and abuse of a juvenile female victim in the Town of Maine. A report detailed that a family acquaintance had conducted “several physical and sexual interactions with the child.”
Turner was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He will be arraigned this evening at Central Arraignment Part at the Broome County Correctional Facility.
