WITH BREAKING NEWS. GOOD AFTERNOON. I’M SUSAN SHAPIRO. HARRISBURG POLICE SAY A BOMB THREAT EMAILED TO A SYNAGOGUE THIS MORNING WAS NOT CREDIBLE. A HARRISBURG CITY SPOKESPERSON SAYS OFFICERS RESPONDED TO TEMPLE OHEV SHALOM ON NORTH FRONT STREET AFTER THE THREAT WAS RECEIVED AROUND 930 THIS MORNING. A BOMB SNIFFING K-9 CHECKED THE SYNAGOGUE BUT FOUND NO EXPLOSIVES. POLICE ARE CHECKING OTHER SYNAGOGUES IN HARRISBURG AS A PRECAUTION. IN AN INITIAL INVESTIGATION SHOWED THE SAME THREAT WAS EMAILED TO 25 SYNAGOGUES ACROSS THE STATE. TEMPLE OHE

Police responded to a Harrisburg synagogue Tuesday morning after it received a bomb threat, according to city spokesperson Matt Maisel.Video above: Headlines from WGAL News 8.Temple Ohev Sholom, on the 2300 block of North Front Street, received the threat by email around 9:30 a.m.A bomb-sniffing police K-9 checked the synagogue but found no explosives. Police K-9s are also checking other Harrisburg synagogues as a precaution.An initial investigation showed the same threat was emailed to 25 synagogues across Pennsylvania. Temple Ohev Sholom is the only Harrisburg synagogue to have received one of the threats.Maisel couldn't discuss the other contents of the emailed threat.All threats are treated as credible until proven otherwise, Maisel said. In this situation, he said police acted quickly and determined the threat was not credible.

Temple Ohev Sholom, on the 2300 block of North Front Street, received the threat by email around 9:30 a.m.
