The Be Fabulous Music & Arts Pride Fest Returns Next Month

Formerly known as the Harvey Milk Festival, the annual event is celebrating its 14th year.

The Be Fabulous Music & Arts Pride Fest, presented by the Fabulous Arts Foundation, returns next month for a three-day celebration of Sarasota's LGBTQ+ community and a full slate of events. 

The fest opens Thursday, May 2, with the Empowered exhibition, a collaboration with SEE Space Alliance. The exhibit focuses on the diverse voices and experiences within the LGBTQ+ community and highlights the resilience and self-expression found through art. On May 3, Swamp Yell—a queer art collective comprised of Jess Pope, Gabriele Keusch, Mike Murphy and more working under the Fabulous Arts Foundation umbrella—will take the stage at The Players Studio. The group will present work focusing on dance, movement and sound, with a focus on exploring intersectionality and embracing change. For tickets and more information, click here.

On May 4, the festival takes to the Rosemary District from 3-10 p.m. for a day of art, performance and dance; live music from MeteorEYES, Sumer Hoop, Zeta the Babe, Nowincolor, Gracie Cespedes, Brittany Zeff; a vendor market; and more. For information, click here
