ROCKLAND, Maine (WMTW) - Two minors and an adult have been arrested following a burglary of several thousand dollars of items in Rockland.

Police say the burglary was reported over Easter weekend at a shop on Main Street.

Wednesday, investigators were searching a local apartment when they reportedly recovered much of the stolen property.

Police took two minors into custody, charging one with felony burglary and another for possession of stolen property. One of those arrested was already on juvenile probation.

During the search, police say an adult fled out of the second story, using a makeshift rope of blankets and sheets.

Police say after identifying and questioning the person, a second adult in the home was arrested for violating bail conditions.

A third minor faces trespassing charges, and officials say it’s possible others will also be identified as suspects.

A juvenile community corrections officer and juvenile prosecutor summonsed the minor suspects and released them to their guardians due to state laws and juvenile corrections regulations preventing incarceration.
