New art unveiled in King City
New wind sculptures were installed on Broadway Street in King City on Wednesday.The sculptures were created by artists Jonathan Russell and Saori Ide Russell, who are based out of Berkeley, California. The team's work has also appeared in San Jose, San Francisco and Boston.Six wind sculptures in total have been installed on Broadway St. Two more wind sculptures are planned in King City. One will be in the downtown plaza, and one will be in the center of a nearby roundabout.The street art is part of the Downtown Streetscape Project. Other parts of the $4.2 Million project include widened street corners, benches and other changes to make the downtown area more walkable.
