La Repubblica Torino offers a new hint that Massimiliano Allegri will leave Juventus at the end of the season: ‘The feeling is that the story is over.’

Allegri is under fire following Juventus’ recent poor run of results, with just two wins in 11 games. The Bianconeri remain in third position, but several sources suggest the Italian tactician will leave at the end of the season despite a contract expiring in June 2025.

“The feeling is that the story is over, and it is being forced to go ahead until the split,” wrote La Repubblica Torino on Monday, as quoted by Ilbianconero.

“It’s unclear whether it’s more depressing for Juventus fans to hear Allegri counting the seven points missing for the Champions League or realise how he makes the team play.

“The general sense is almost as dismal as the words said by Giuntoli, who admitted with unnecessary realism that next season’s transfer budget will also depend on players’ sales.”

Giuntoli sparked doubts over Allegri’s future on Saturday before a 0-0 draw against Torino saying that he’d have to sit down with the coach in the coming weeks to discuss the next steps.

Allegri returned to Juventus in 2021, signing a four-year contract with the Old Lady.

Juventus have not won any trophy over the last two seasons, and the 2023-24 Coppa Italia remains the only target they have to end another campaign empty-handed. Two weeks ago, Juventus beat Lazio in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semis and will play in the return leg at the Stadio Olimpico on April 23.
