PEARCY -- A Pearcy man was arrested last week on 50 felony counts involving child pornography stemming from an investigation by the Arkansas State Police's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, according to a news release.

Riley Robert Stanley, 32, of 110 Avalon Drive in Pearcy, was taken into custody without incident at his residence on Friday, March 29, around 1:30 p.m. on 50 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, each a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Stanley, who lists no prior felony history, was booked into the Garland County Detention Center shortly before 3:30 p.m. Friday and initially held on a $500,000 bond. He made an initial appearance Monday in Garland County District Court and his bond was reduced to $300,000 with a review hearing set for May 17. He remained in custody Thursday.

According to the release from the Arkansas attorney general's office, on Thursday, March 28, agents with the ASP task force executed a search warrant at Stanley's Avalon Drive residence that led to his arrest the next day.

"A joint undercover investigation between ICAC's Task Force and the Arkansas Attorney General's Office led to the discovery of numerous files of child sexual abuse material that were being shared from a laptop belonging to Stanley," the release said.

No other details of the case were available as of Thursday.
