The Nothing Phone (2a) packs a dual camera setup that consists of a 50MP primary and a 50MP ultrawide lens. In our review, we noticed that the phone did have some problems with the colour saturation and exposure, but the latest update claims that it has ‘improved camera colour saturation’. The developers also seem to have optimised the blur accuracy and clarity in portrait mode.
Nothing says it has also optimised the Google Assistant wake-up experience and improved the pop-up view animations as well as the overall smoothness of the device. The smartphone also struggled a bit when playing the newest Android games, but it looks like the developers have optimised the gaming experience and performance as well.
As for bug fixes, the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update for the Nothing Phone (2a) fixes the compatibility issues with third-party launchers, stability issues with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections and another issue where the Night Light feature, which is designed to protect your eyes in dark environments wasn’t working on the lock screen.
To get the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update on your Nothing Phone (2a), open the ‘Settings’ app, tap on ‘System’ and click on ‘System Update’. Here, you will be able to download and install the latest update.
