Event Spotlight: First Friday
Various Art Studios
April 5

First Friday is right on time with a citywide art party to end the work week. As studios open up for public enjoyment, some go beyond the art displays with added entertainment while others use the extra attention to launch new exhibits with a bang.
Here are a couple studios doing just that.
Good Art Co., 10 Central Ave., celebrates First Friday from 6-9 p.m. with the spotlight on "I'm Tryna Get Like YOU", a new exhibit featuring BLKMRKTCLT, an arts studio and collective based in Charlotte that was created to give Black artists a safe space to create. The collection includes pieces by some of the most important Southern Black artists producing work right now.
