Silvercorp surrenders to Perseus Mining in takeover battle for Tim Goyder-backed OreCorp

Canada’s Silvercorp Metals has formally waved the white flag and accepted Perseus Mining’s $270 million takeover offer for Tanzania-focused gold hopeful OreCorp.

On Wednesday, Perseus told the market Silvercorp will fold the entirety of a 15.6 per cent OreCorp stake into its offer.
