PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Following the Presidential Preference Election, signature verification and tabulation will continue this week in Maricopa County.

Arizona’s Family spoke to Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, who says the PPE went well overall. He says they will be hiring about 3,000 temporary workers for the Primary Election in July and the General Election in November. The focus now will also turn to securing voting locations, so there will be more than 250 open for both elections.

Richer also says the department will be making sure the voter rolls are as accurate as possible. While this election went well, Richer says there is always something more to learn. If you’re interested in learning about the process, you can request a tour. Here’s more on how to get involved.
