Bayfield-area residents can donate blood at the end of this month.
A Vitalant “bloodmobile” will be parked at 134 West Mill St. on the south side of town on April 29, taking donations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a post on the town of Bayfield’s Facebook page.
Would-be donors must weigh at least 110 pounds to be eligible to give blood, and donors of all blood types are encouraged to help maintain a strong supply, the post said.
Donors will have the option to give whole blood, double red cells, plasma or blood platelets, the post said.
Donors are also advised to drink fluids and eat iron-rich foods such as red meat or cereal before their appointment, according to the American Red Cross website.
