On April 13, Springdale will host the annual Arkansas Freestyle and Greco Roman State Wrestling Tournament.

The tournament will be held at Springdale Har-Ber high school.

All eligible 14U wrestlers who win the tournament will qualify for the Arkansas National Dual Team. USA Junior and 16U division wrestlers who place top three in their weight class will qualify for the national Freestyle and Greco Roman tournament in Fargo, North Dakota.

The tournament will feature notable Arkansas wrestling clubs such as Team Conquer, Honey Badger Wrestling Club, Dover Wrestling Club, and the Arkansas Wrestling Academy.

Last year, Arkansas had two wrestlers earn All-American honors at Fargo: Bentonville West's Dane Renick and Searcy's Alena Williams. Renick and Williams will look to have repeat All-American performances after strong seasons. Both wrestlers won the state Folkstyle tournament in March.

Arkansas currently has 12 Fargo All-Americans and will look to add a few more in July.
