EAST HAMPTON, Conn. — Story by Madelyn Daniels, Julianna Korczak, Marley Zinkerman, Teagan Sullivan, and Abbie Dipace - East Hampton High School

East Hampton High School held a school-wide spirit week and pep rally prior to holiday break, engaging students in the school’s activities.

Students showed their school spirit by dressing up on four themed days throughout the week; Holiday Gear Day, Teacher-Student Swap Day, Blue and White Day, and Rhyme-Without-Reason Day.

The EHHS Student Council created this wonderful week to help students and staff participate in their school community. As Roseann Bullet, student council advisor, said, during this week, “everybody could be who they may not normally be."

Towards the end of spirit week, on Thursday afternoon, a Pep Rally was held. The band played music, the sports teams were announced, cheerleaders performed, and students represented their class in activities from a half-court-shot to musical chairs.

Both students and staff appreciated this week, being able to have fun while expressing themselves freely. There was thorough participation spread throughout all of the grade levels as well as staff, and they remain excited for more events like this to come.
