Deputies arrest Florida Keys woman after pursuit in Key Largo

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – After a recent pursuit in the Florida Keys, deputies reported finding a woman who said she worked as a nurse in possession of cocaine, records show.

Camille Yvette Minnix, of Tavernier, told Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies that she works as a nurse after they arrested her on Friday at King Fish Street in Key Largo.

The Florida database for healthcare providers did not have a profile for her as a registered nurse.

Minnix is facing felony charges of cocaine possession and fleeing and eluding police, and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug equipment and a moving traffic violation.

A judge set her bond at $50,000 and deputies released her on Saturday. Her arraignment hearing was set for 9 a.m., on April 23.
