Fran has been in the news industry for 10 years and was most recently a reporter for KATU News in Portland, Oregon. Prior to that, she was a reporter for KOLR 10 News in Springfield, Missouri after graduating from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Communication.
As a licensed skydiver, Fran enjoys jumping out of airplanes for fun. She also likes art, cooking, and is a pom-mom to a 4 lb white fluffy Pomeranian.
KANEOHE, Hawaii (Island News) – A woman is in serious condition after being extricated from a car crash on the H-3 Highway in Kaneohe.
According to the Honolulu Fire Department, on Thursday Mar. 21, first responders received a call at 11:04 p.m. for a single-car crash. The first crew arrived on scene at 11:17 p.m. and found the car off the side of the highway with a person trapped inside.
HFD personnel quickly responded to stabilize the car. Then, using the Jaws of Life, firefighters extricated the woman from the vehicle. Paramedics took over caring from the woman after they arrived on scene. So far she has not been identified. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Following the rescue operation, HFD personnel ensured the scene was secured before handing over command to the Honolulu Police Department. Fortunately, all HFD personnel involved were safely accounted for, with no reported injuries.
