BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) - A new leader is taking the helm at Bainbridge High School.

At 11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, the Decatur County Schools Board of Education approved the hiring of Christopher Bryant to be the new principal, according to a board statement.

He served as assistant principal at Bainbridge High beginning in 2022. Before that, he worked in various education roles at local elementary and middle schools.

Bryant is also a 2007 graduate of the high school.

“I am honored and humbled to be named principal of my alma mater, Bainbridge High School. From birth, I was taught the Bainbridge motto Once a Bearcat - Always a Bearcat. I can think of no greater opportunity than to lead our Bearcat family in the next chapter of our story,” he said in a statement.
