MARQUETTE — The United Way of Marquette County invites you to Third Coast Pizzeria from 4-8 next Tuesday for the launch of the Yooper’s United Hockey team that will face off against the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association game on Sept.13.

The event will be a chance to meet the members of the team and learn more about fundraisers and events taking place throughout the summer in support of the United Way of Marquette County.

“There is so much great local hockey talent,” United Way Executive Director Andrew Rickauer said. “This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the hockey event and to meet the local talent all while supporting the community.”

Third Coast Pizzeria will be donating 15% of sales from the event back to United Way to help support the local community needs. There will also be door prizes, a chance to get autographs from local talent and loads of great hockey stories.

Tickets for the event are anticipated to go on sale in June.
