A school bus was engulfed in flames on a New Jersey parkway on Wednesday afternoon.

The Seaville Fire and Rescue Company said it was called to mile marker 20.8 southbound on the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County for reports of a school bus on fire.

When crews got to the scene, they saw flames shooting from the bus and heavy fire throughout.

The department said the 10 students and bus driver on the bus had safely exited and that no injuries were reported.

The Marmora Volunteer Fire Company was requested for extra water and manpower. They shared photos of the bus.

Crews worked for nearly two hours to put the flames out.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshals office and New Jersey State Police.
