GLENDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — A man died after he was stabbed Saturday night at an apartment complex in Glendale.

Police were called around 9:25 p.m. to the apartment complex near Glendale and 67th avenues. Officers learned that two neighbors got into an argument, leading one of them allegedly to attack the other one with a sharp object. The 49-year-old victim was alive when he was taken to a nearby hospital, but he later died.

A Glendale police spokesperson said Saturday night that officers know who the suspect is and are “working diligently to take him into custody.” Police then confirmed Sunday morning that the 50-year-old neighbor is in police custody.

It’s not yet known what led to the fight, and police haven’t released the name of the victim nor the suspect neighbor.

This is the second deadly stabbing in Glendale in less than a week. On Friday, police say Robert Leo Williams stabbed and killed 18-year-old Daniel James Santiago near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
