Houston man accused of giving illegal butt injections, causing bacterial infection in woman

Dustin Moore (HPD)

HOUSTON – A bond was set for a man accused of illegally administering butt injections to at least three women, according to prosecutors.

Dustin Moore, 43, was charged with one count of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and three counts of medical practice act violation.

The charges stem from allegations that Moore used syringes to inject a clear and unlabeled substance into the women, causing at least one Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, MRSA is a cause of staph infection that is difficult to treat because of resistance to some antibiotics.

Moore’s bond was set at $170,000 for the four combined charges.

Officials said the bond was determined by the evidence in this case and the fact that Moore was on deferred adjudication for a 2021 arrest for assault on a family member impeding breath in Galveston County.
