2024 49ers 7-round mock draft: Will San Francisco draft Brandon Aiyuk’s replacement

Apr 17, 2024 at 1:54 PM--

With the belief that their Super Bowl window remains open, the San Francisco 49ers enter the 2024 NFL Draft holding a first-round pick for the first time since they moved up to select quarterback Trey Lance at No. 3 overall in 2021. And while that pick didn't pan out, the 49ers were fortunate enough to draft an MVP candidate and franchise quarterback in Brock Purdy in the seventh round of the 2022 draft.

By David Bonilla
Apr 25

NFL insider Ian Rapoport joined NFL Network ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, which kicks off in a couple of hours, and provided an update on San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk amid several trade rumors. "I think it's fair to say the status of Brandon Aiyuk is very firmly up in the air for the San Francisco 49ers," Rapoport stated. "No doubt they're going to have interest from teams potentially trading for Brandon Aiyuk. And we may actually find out tonight because the 49ers have been very clear internally and externally. They would like a first-round pick for such a talented receiver. And the reality is this has been the market." RELATED: Several teams

49ers mailbag: Will Brandon Aiyuk be on the roster on Friday morning? Will SF draft another quarterback?

By Marc Adams
Apr 24

We're just over 24 hours before round one of the NFL Draft begins. The San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to have their first pick in the opening round since 2021 when they drafted Trey Lance. That didn't turn out well, but there is optimism that the team will be able to make its roster better over the next few days. GM John Lynch spoke on Monday and said there's a possibility the team could trade out of the first round. I doubt that would go over well with the fanbase, especially since they haven't had a first-rounder in the past two years. But if it's a good trade that lands the 49ers some quality picks, we could see that happen, especially if there aren't any players at pick 31 that the team is excited about. We opened up the 49ers Webzone Mailbag to see what

Deebo Samuel responds to 49ers drafting potential replacement

By David Bonilla
Apr 26

It seems Deebo Samuel isn't going anywhere. Trade rumors have subsided since the beginning of the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. On Thursday, the San Francisco 49ers used the No. 31 overall pick to select wide receiver Ricky Pearsall. Some speculate that the pick was made with an eye on the future, potentially as insurance in case Samuel is traded down the road. Dianna Russini of The Athletic contacted Samuel to inquire about his thoughts on the 49ers drafting a potential replacement and the reports of the team exploring trade options for him. "I know what's going on, but it is what it is," Samuel told Russini. "I'm good staying with them. I'm

7-round mock draft has 49ers adding 2 legacy players

By David Bonilla
Apr 22

Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus unveiled a seven-round mock draft for the San Francisco 49ers, addressing several key needs for the team in the 10-pick projection. Interestingly, the mock draft sees the team adding two legacy players. But before delving into that, let's examine the first three selections. Sikkema has the 49ers shoring up their offensive line at pick No. 31 with the selection of former Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan. Morgan allowed 14 pressures and two sacks in his 477 pass-blocking snaps at left tackle in 2023. He earned an impressive pass-blocking grade of 87.3 and an overall grade of
