Lewisburg man killed in Summers County crash

PENCE SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVVA) - A Lewisburg man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Rt. 3/12 in Summers County Tuesday afternoon.
Summers County Sheriff Justin Faris said Estil Burns, 54, was dead at the scene after his vehicle left the roadway, hit an embankment and landed on its side.
No other car was involved, and Burns was the lone occupant.
Faris said that, according to witnesses, excess speed was not a factor in the crash.
Faris said the Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigator and was assisted at the scene by the Talcott Volunteer Fire Department, the Summers County EMS and the West Virginia State Police.
