The Dallas Court of Appeals rejected an attempt by Texas Attorney General Kenneth Paxton to dismiss a State Bar of Texas disciplinary action for his role in the 2020 election.
On a split vote, the three-panel tribunal agreed with the Commission for Lawyer Discipline, the bar’s prosecutorial arm, that the court lacked jurisdiction, and the appellate judges dismissed Paxton’s interlocutory appeal.
