BRIGHAM CITY — A man died after his vehicle crashed into a building on Saturday.

About 9:30 p.m., Brigham City police and fire responded to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a building near 807 W. Forest Street, in Brigham City.

The vehicle had struck a building, hit a gas line and was fully engulfed in flames, causing the building to collapse onto the vehicle, according to Brigham City police detective Crystal Beck. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Brendyn Miller, of Riverdale, died in the crash.

The cause of the crash is unknown and the incident is under investigation.

The area near 800 West, between 50 South and Forest Street, was closed while the Brigham City Fire Department monitors the structure.
