ED? YEAH, THIS IS THE FOURTH YEAR BIGLERVILLE ANONYMOUS BENEFACTOR HAS PAID FOR A COMMUNITY MEAL. THE CONDITION THE DONOR DOESN’T WANT TO BE IDENTIFIED. $1,900 WAS DONATED TO THE BIGLERVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOST THE EASTER MEAL. THE MAYOR OF BIGLERVILLE, PHIL WAGNER, KNOWS THE BENEFACTOR IS. BUT HE REFUSES TO SAY THE BENEFACTOR TOLD HIM, THE MINUTE YOU DO, WE’RE DONE. THAT’S PRETTY BLUNT IN THE KITCHEN OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, THE MEAL IS BEING PREPARED. IT WILL INCLUDE HAM, SCALLOP, POTATOES, GREEN BEANS AND BROCCOLI AND CHEESE. APRIL BAUMEISTER SAYS IT BRINGS THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER. JUST A SMILES. An anonymous donor is showing his appreciation for the Adams County community by providing a free drive-thru/take-out Easter meal.It begins Saturday at noon at the Biglerville Fire Department on South Main Street. The unidentified benefactor told Mayor Phil Wagner it is for the caring support they provide to the community's nonprofit organizations each year. The benefactor also told the mayor they do not want to be identified. The mayor says he was told by the donor, "The moment you do we are done."A total of $1,900 was donated to the Biglerville Fire Department to host the event. The Easter meal includes ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, broccoli and cheese.Fire department member April Bowmaster says the event brings the community together."Just the smiles, people are happy. It brings a sense of community back to our fast-paced world," she said. The distribution will last for two hours.
