During its April 8 regular meeting, city attorney Norm Fugate asked the City Commission to delay its vote relating to the extension of a water tank maintenance agreement with the city and Southern Corrosion. Fugate said he would like to review the original contract between the city and company and confirm he is “OK” with the changes.
CHIEFLAND — During its April 8 regular meeting, city attorney Norm Fugate requested that the City Commission put a hold on extending a water tank maintenance agreement with Southern Corrosion.
The city is currently in a 10-year contract with the company that runs through 2027. Southern Corrosion has contacted the city to see if it would be interested in extending its current agreement for an additional 10 years.
