UK bakery chain set to rival Greggs announces new product range and new stores - a looking behind the scenes

Elsewhere, a popular Scottish bakery chain which has been hailed as "better than Greggs" is set to open up a new branch in Glasgow.

Bayne's announced they will be adding a new location to their long list of stores across the country.

There are currently 65 Bayne's bakeries across central Scotland including a flagship store in Lochore, Fife.

The family-run chain says they believe in using "traditional baking methods and processes, focusing on product freshness and quality of ingredients".

And with tasty savouries, cakes, doughnuts, and hot and cold filled rolls, foodies have noticed the bakery is very similar to fast-food giant Greggs.
