NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The free Nacogdoches Short Film Festival will take place on Apr. 13, showcasing creativity from right here in East Texas.

Festival Director Herbert Midgley gave insight into what people can expect from the event this year. He said the festival includes a competition, where the audience will decide the winner.

The festival focuses on independent filmmakers who create films in East Texas. It will take place on Saturday, Apr. 13, from 7–10 p.m. at the SFASU Movie Theater in the Baker Pattillo Student Center.

This is a free event, both to attend and to submit East Texas films. The organizers say it’s a great opportunity to network and share your short films with other filmmakers and new audiences.
