ASP search for suspect accused of killing teenager after Helena-West Helena Prom

Little Rock (KATV) — Arkansas State Police's Criminal Investigation Division are searching for a Helena man who they say killed a teenager after Helena-West Helena's Central High School Prom.

In a release, police say that they have identified a suspect, 19-year-old Donterious Stephens, asserting that he will be charged with first degree murder and possession of firearms by certain persons. They are currently working to locate the suspect.

Police say the incident occurred at a post-Prom event located across the street from Ater Warehouse along Highway 49 in West Helena. The release confirms that 18-year-old Lorenzo Harrison III was killed in the incident.

The deceased has been moved to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
