Intense rainfall over several weeks in Tanzania has triggered devastating flooding and landslides, claiming the lives of 155 individuals and leaving 236 others injured, according to the country's Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa. Addressing Parliament, Majaliwa attributed the severity of the ongoing rainy season to the exacerbation of the El Niño climate phenomenon. The relentless downpours have not only caused widespread flooding but also inflicted extensive damage to infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and railways, exacerbating the challenges faced by affected communities across East Africa.#TanzaniaFloods #EastAfricaRain #HeavyRains #NaturalDisaster #ClimateCrisis #FloodResponse #DisasterRelief #EmergencyResponse #HumanitarianCrisis #RainySeason ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.101~GR.125~
