(Gray News) - An Amber Alert that was issued for a 10-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his non-custodial mother has been canceled, New Mexico State Police said Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, the boy was found safe.

Authorities said the 10-year-old was initially reported missing on April 12. He was last seen Monday with his 39-year-old non-custodial mother in Albuquerque.

When officers attempted to contact the woman, she drove away with the boy and rammed into a New Mexico State Patrol vehicle while fleeing, according to investigators.

Troopers did not immediately disclose if the boy’s mother was apprehended.

New Mexico State Police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
