With summer approaching and melanoma rates increasing nationwide, companies and organizations are finding new ways to bring skin cancer awareness in an area known for its beaches and outdoor spaces.

Friendswood has joined other cities in the county to promote safety practices through its partnership with a diagnostics company and a national nonprofit.
