Tyson Fury has drafted his dad into his training camp for his rescheduled fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury was due to take on Usyk in February but pulled out two weeks before the first bell after suffering a cut in sparring. The undisputed clash - which will crown the first-ever four-belt heavyweight champion - will now take place on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.

And having based himself in the Middle East until he was injured, Fury chose to stay home in Morecambe for the second date - which has seen him add his outspoken dad John to the team.

"I'm training hard obviously," Fury said. "I’m in fantastic shape, obviously, and I’ve got a massive fight coming up, obviously. There’s no room for error, I’ve just got to get through it and I’m feeling fantastic with 40 days to go. I have no complaints, I’m working very hard.

'I’ve got my dad in camp this time, I’ve got my secret weapon. All the boys and girls are in camp; I’ve got the full circus in camp."

Fury was criticised for pulling out of the fight in February with Usyk’s team calling on him to retire. But the Brit insists he sees the delay as a blessing in disguise.

"I was depressed for the first day or so but then I realised God’s timing is perfect. It wasn’t my time then but it will be my time on May 18. I’m the best; I’m just defending my bestest against him.

"This is show business, this is entertainment. If they don’t talk about what’s going on then people lose interest so they’ve got to talk s***.

"If you don’t talk smack in this game then you ain’t going to make it. When they notice you, then you can show them your skills.

"This is not personal between us; it’s strictly business. There’s a lot on the line but I don’t hate him and he doesn’t hate me. Anyone has to respect his achievements and I have a tough task in front of me.

"Please don’t say he’s s*** after I beat him but my personal view is that we have weight divisions for a reason and when the cruiserweights step up to the big boys they get beat.

"You can beat the average big ones but you can’t beat the elite big ones because size really matters and he’s going to be found wanting against me."
