The victim of an alleged April 10 homicide in Anaconda has been identified as former Illinois resident De’Quan Watson, 27.
Authorities say Watson was found dead in an Anaconda home following a domestic disturbance and his body was then transferred to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula for further examination.
His name was released by Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Police Chief Bill Sather, who also included Watson’s date of birth of Aug. 30, 1996.
Leann Ashaun Malcolm made her initial appearance in Anaconda’s Justice Court on April 11, charged with deliberate homicide and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. Bond was set at $1 million.
A GoFundMe online account organized by family member Cierra Watson is asking for donations so the victim’s body can be brought back to Springfield, Illinois.
