Local hunters and anglers were saddened to hear that Cleante “Clem” Caryofilles of Pittsfield passed away on April 15 at the age of 89.

Clem was a well-known local outdoor sportsman who was a member of many sportsmen’s clubs, including the Pittsfield Sportsmen’s Club, Onota Lake Fishing Club, Taconic Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Berkshire Bow Club, Massachusetts Sporting Dogs Association, New York Bear Hunters Association, National Turkey Federation and undoubtedly others.
