PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Team North Dakota scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Wisconsin Seniors 3-1 in the CCM National Invitational Tournament at Plymouth Ice Center.
Trailing 1-0 in the first period, North Dakota forward Mack Blue, from Grand Forks Central, scored to tie it with 12 minutes, 29 seconds left in the first period on assists from Alex Arneson, from West Fargo, and Evan Panzer from Grand Forks Central.
Ray Walen, from Fargo North, put North Dakota up 2-1 with 5:14 remaining in the first. Grant Gardner, from Grand Forks Red River, and Owen Branson from Fargo North, got the assists on Walen’s goal.
Gardner netted his goal with 3:07 left to play in the third period with Branson and Walen assisting.
Wisconsin’s Joseph Coghlin scored with 17:18 remaining in the first period on assists from Caden Feinstein and Vincent Greene. Wisconsin netminders Devin Rustlie and Rowan White stopped 42 of 45 shots faced.

North Dakota goaltender Tyler Miller, from Bismarck Legacy, had 29 saves.
North Dakota faces off against Minnesota High Performance U18 at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at Plymouth Ice Center.
