AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Fire Department responded to a fire at a building that was formerly Trudy’s Texas Star in Central Austin.
Crews responded to 409 W 30th St. early Thursday morning. The department posted about the incident on X at 2:16 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the building.
The restaurant previously caught on fire in Nov. 2019. Although it reopened in May of the following year, it is currently listed as “temporarily closed” on Google. The exterior of the building is covered in graffiti.
