A driver has died after a crash that happened earlier this month in Laurens County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Laurens County Coroner Patti Canupp said Todd Snover, 74, died Thursday from his injuries.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 1:40 p.m. on Sept. 15 on Welcome Church Road near Whelon Road, Master Trooper Brandon Bolt said.
The driver of a 2005 Chrysler van was heading north on Welcome Church Road when the van ran off the road and struck a tree, Bolt said.
The driver was wearing a seat belted and was trapped in the wreckage, according to Bolt.
The driver was taken to a hospital where they later died.
The driver's name was not immediately released.
The crash is still under investigation.
