NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Crate and Kids has decided to launch its fall catalog exclusively on social media site Pinterest in order to encounter customers where they are already discovering inspiration and creativity.

“We want to meet our customers where and how they want to shop,” said Alicia Waters, Crate and Kids vice president of growth strategies. “With more than 50% of our sales online, it makes sense for us to continue to lean into digital, especially with nearly 60% of our traffic on mobile. We see mobile and social as going hand-in-hand, so going deeper on social shopping is a logical extension for us.”

Waters said the company knows Crate and Kid customers come to Pinterest for inspiration, not just for decorating but for all things kids and home, and it’s also one of the company’s fastest-growing platforms in terms of followers.

“This makes Pinterest a perfect place to reach shoppers wherever they are, which is increasingly online or on their phone,” Waters said.

The company said its new digital lookbook allows busy moms and dads to browse the latest home decor trends on mobile devices at any time, day or night. Pinterest is often the first stop for design inspiration, and Crate and Kids said it wants to make it easier to turn that browsing into buying.

Crate and Kids believes inspiration will always play a critical role in helping consumers decide what to buy for their homes and families. The company said this is why Pinterest is a perfect partner to amplify the reach of its digital fall catalog by reaching Millennial moms when they’re searching for what to buy next.
