Cryptic Teaser Sparks Tekken 8 Speculation Which Could Also be a Series Reboot - Tekken 7

Tekken is a franchise that has been monumental in the developing of the fighting genre in games. The franchise has also extended to a live action film which has had two instalments. There have been seven instalments in the franchise from the arcade days in 1994 to the PlayStation 4 days in 2015. Players are now eagerly waiting for next-gen instalment for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Players have just received that Bandai Namco will be releasing a new battle update for Tekken 7 for the Tekken World Tour 2023. This update will include balancing adjustments, new tactics, and more. Tekken World Tour Global Finals is all set to take place in Amsterdam on February 4-5, 2023. This is a free update that will be available to the players on August 17, 2022. At the end of the announcement the players are shown footage of Tekken 1 where Kazuya throws his father off a cliff. This footage then transitions to a next-gen Kazuya smiling at the audience.

This teaser was provided to the people at the Evolution Championship Series 2022 where Game Director, Katsuhiro Harada, did show up, but did not reveal any details about the tease. Players are having a hard time understanding whether this tease points towards Tekken 8 or a reboot or remake of the original title. Whatever it is, players can be assured that they will learn more about the game at The Game Awards 2022. The Game Awards has Tweeted 'Get Ready' with the image of Kazuya and Harada has retweeted that image, this confirms that something new is coming for sure at this event.
