Major Lazer member Christopher Leacock, also known as Jillionaire, will be making a guest appearance at Ibrida for its Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Opening Party.
Originally from Trinidad, the DJ and music producer will be performing at the venue located in the Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa, Seef on March 31.
During his 15-year career, Jillionaire has created a unique sound which mashes indie dance and big room house with the Caribbean rhythms of Soca and Dancehall.
Following Major Lazer’s founders DJ Switch and Diplo parting ways in 2011, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire replaced DJ Switch.
Since then the group has released two studio albums and an EP.
In 2012, Jillionaire completed an Australia and New Zealand Winter Tour which included performances at Toronto’s Caribana.
He also curated the first-ever Mad Decent Tropical Ten at Camp Bisco X, featuring performances from Moombahton masters Nadastrom and Dillon Francis.
Other highlights included a successful UK and Europe tour in partnership with Muck Agency, and riveting performances with Major Lazer in Seoul, South Korea and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Tickets are available from the hotel.
