Vernon Staging 'Pick Your Own Vaccine' Clinics This Week

VERNON, CT — State residents wanting a coronavirus shot will be able to pick their own brand this week in the Vernon's mobile vaccination unit is staging its most unique set of clinics yet.

The two "You Choose" walk-up vaccination clinics are scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday in Central Park, the green area in front of Vernon Town Hall. That's at 14 Park Place in the Rockville section of town.

The second clinic is slated for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Red Roof Inn, 425 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon.

"Our goal continues to be — to reach all people who want the vaccine," Vernon Town Administrator Michael Purcaro said.

The town will also continue to conduct clinics at the Vernon Senior Center. Walk-ins are welcome at every clinics, although typically only one vaccine available at senior center clinics.
