During her early rodeo career, she learned about the events and sportsmanship through goat tying and pole bending competitions in high school rodeo before she began barrel racing. An
accomplished rider she also rode for a Roping and Cow horse Trainer.

When not fulfilling her passion for horses and all things rodeo Katie finds time for hiking, photography, and camping.

Also competing were Alexa Parco from Tracy, CA and Katie Spies from Castro Valley. The rodeo committee extends their appreciation to all of the dynamic young cowgirls who competed in the hopes of sharing their love of rodeo and the western traditions that have helped give them strength of character and a strong foundation for future success.
