Delhi: A video of a man slapping someone who appears to be an Asian migrant worker in Bahrain had shocked social media users.
As per a report in BBC, the migrant worker is said to be an Asian.
The video of the clip was uploaded on YouTube earlier this month and is a 27-second clip.
As per the report, the clip shows a well built man slapping a smaller man who seems to be South Asian migrant worker.
It also said that the voice in the video is not very clear but the bigger man ppears to be to be mocking the smaller man.
The man who was slapped is silent and holds a hand to his cheek after being slapped.
The report further says that the video has been viewed more than 140,000 times.
As per BBC Trending, the video or images has not been verified and neither the identity the men has been established.
However, Bahraini Interior Ministry's is said to have issued a statement confirming the incident and saying that the Asian man was assaulted in Riffa.
Meanwhile, Bahrain's foreign minister, Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmad al-Khalifa was quoted by the report as tweeting: "He came from his country bearing homesickness and being away from family, to work in the toughest of jobs for a modest wage. And a despicable person comes and slaps him.”
