LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – There are 2,186 total cases of the new coronavirus in Loudoun County as of Tuesday morning, according to the Virginia Department of Health, with 153 hospitalizations and 52 deaths.

To date, the county has tested 10,996 people and has had 12 coronavirus outbreak across the Loudoun Health District. There have been 217 coronavirus cases related to outbreaks and 81 coronavirus cases in health care workers.

Virginia now has 39,342 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus, with 4,325 hospitalizations and 1,236 deaths as of Tuesday morning.

GOVERNMENT

Northern Virginia leaders say the region has met four of six criteria for the first phase of reopening, but did not request another delay in a letter to Gov. Ralph Northam. Inova Health System is seeking recovered patients who could help those continuing to fight COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
