Water talk: The Snohomish Conservation District is hosting a “Water: A Community Discussion Tied to Climate Change” webinar from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Oct. 6 via Zoom. The webinar will include an introduction to Project Drawdown and information about how water management can help fight climate change. The district hopes to learn from you as much as it can provide resources and ideas for where you live. Fall and winter interest: The Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens is hosting a “Creating Fall and Winter Interest” class at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 via Zoom. Septic workshop: Learn how to care for your septic system to extend its longevity and avoid costly repairs. The Snohomish Conservation District is hosting a “Caring for Your Septic System” webinar at 6 p.m. Oct. 14 via Zoom. The class will go over different types of systems and how they function, household products that will lengthen the life of your system and much more. Fiber Fusion Northwest: The festival is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 16 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe. Features a live fiber animal exhibit, a fiber arts show, a spin-in event, free demonstrations and a variety of classes, as well as a fleece show and sale.
