The students of UA academy are finally back for the fourth season of My Hero Academia, which will begin airing in Japan on Oct. 12. The new air date was announced in a trailer for the new season, which gives a first glimpse at both new heroes and villains alike in action.
The series’ third season marked the end of the “Provisional License” arc with all students from Class 1-A earning their provisional hero licenses with the exception of Bakugō Katsuki and Shōto Todoroki. The season’s last two episodes introduced audiences to UA Academy’s top pro hero candidates — Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, and Nejire Hado — titled the “Big Three.” With Class 1-A’s hero education already unusually accelerated, the “Big Three” encourage the students to pursue hero work studies in order to gain practical experience under a pro hero’s wing.
It’s currently unknown whether the fourth season will be simultaneously broadcast on Crunchyroll and simultaneously released in English on Funimation as was the case for season three. In the meantime, you can catch up on the first three seasons of My Hero Academia subbed on Crunchyroll, both subbed and dubbed on Hulu, and both subbed and dubbed on Funimation.
